Dry powder should be dispensed off gently on the burning surface at low pressure with the help of a diffuser. High pressure may splash the burning metal and the fire may start at another place. IFP FIREKILL-M powder should be applied gently, through a fire extinguisher or through any automated powder dispensing systems. Dry powder can also be applied manually on the burning metal with the help of a scoop, a shovel or a plastic bag. Care should be taken to cover the surface completely. The covered surface should be left undisturbed for at least 30 to 45 minutes.
Standard packing is in 4 /6 /10 kgs. /25 kgs. /50 kgs. (net wt) hermetically sealed polyethylene bags. For safe transportation these bags may be packed in High Density Polythene Drums of suitable sizes if required by the Customer.
